Banning myself from doll-rooting.

For the time being, at least. Because no matter how much rooting a doll with blue hair makes my heart go zgyuuuun three dolls in three weeks is too much. I'm not picking up a rooting needle until I finish handwriting Chapter Five of my novel. So I took up my Space Pen and wrote six pages tonight. Typed up, that would be more like two and a half. :O

The Space Pen is slightly nicer to work with than my Parker Jotter. I'm still getting ink all over my writing hand (my right hand, because I'm Right-handed, not a cool Leftie) but the ink doesn't skip as much. It feels more comfortable in my hand, but it doesn't have that convenient clip that lets you attach a Parker Jotter to your notebook. So I'm keeping my Space Pen with my two Parker Jotters(Jotter Pink and Jotter Silver) in an old hard glasses case. Maybe I never have to use lousy pens again!

If you are ever tempted to get a Sharpie Liquid Pencil pen (erasable "pen") DON'T. It is the most awful pen ever. Some rep tried to get us to carry them and left one with us. It turns up like a bad penny each time I need to jot down something important. It skips like crazy and doesn't put down a good line even when it does work. Bleeeeh.

As far as doll rooting... I still have a boy I got years ago that needs hair. Poor thing. I feel so bad. He's currently got maybe two rows and is living in a hatbox. ;_;

Thanks for the advice! XD I haven't used an erasable pen since I was in elementary school and that's because they forced us to use those when we were learning cursive writing. They are awful, aren't they? I think I'd rather write with eyebrow pencil.

I hate having to scribble in the margin of the paper just to get the pen started. Sometimes I have to do that with the Jotter but not with the Space Pen so far.

Doll rooting is so time-consuming. You really have to be in the mood for it. Even if you're in the mood for it, though, sometimes your body tells you otherwise. It puts a lot of wear and tear on your hands.

My hands really ache after rooting and I'm just doing the punch method! (I am laaaaaazy). I should switch to tying because, as far as I know, Volks has discontinued the dolls I have. I should do right by them!
