Tea Tastes Best In Spring.

I'm not sure why, but it always seems that way. I'm trying not to give into temptation and overindulge in caffeinated tea today. But it tastes so much better than sugar water decaf...;_;

It's cooler today, and in my opinion, much nicer weather. The only flowers we have coming up are crocuses. They're like pure, translucent color--absolutely gorgeous. I'd take some pictures, but the sun is a little too bright and the nicest flowers are on the side of the house, in full view of my drunken, partying neighbors. When they're drunk, they catcall. I'm wearing pajama pants right now.

So you'll have to settle for a picture of Lucas, instead.

He's staring very intently at a red milkshake straw in my hand. I tried to make some videos of him playing with it, but he wasn't cooperating. He's too distracted by the chirpy birdies outside.

He's been very interested in this particular long-haired gray outdoor cat. Whenever it wanders around the perimeter of the house Lucas goes running from window to window to follow it. Sometimes he comes running into whatever room my sister or I am in and lets out panicked meows until we go with him to the window to watch. Last night, when Kristen didn't come fast enough he made like he was going to nip her ankle. :O (He's always nipping at people for fun, or whenever he wants to get their attention) His ears are always pricked up when he watches the cat--he seems mostly excited, or curious. I don't think he's afraid--I swear he expects us to bring it inside or something. That's not going to happen, but it's funny to watch.

We still can't use the oven. The broiler filament appears to have burned out. We've ordered a replacement, but it won't be in for a week. Oh well. We still have the stove top for cooking.

I'm about 370 pages into Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I didn't pick it up for a couple of days. I'm still enjoying it quite a bit; whenever the narrative starts to get bogged down with the pretention that comes from writing a period piece, the author always spices it up with some creepy story. And the creepy stories are genuinely creepy! If this is what a book that took ten years to write reads like, maybe I should take my time with my own writing?

I just finished the sanatarium, beating Tatsuya Sudou's devil dog (okay, it was a Hell Hound) in only three rounds. I'm a little overleveled. It's hard not to get caught up in level-grinding and ranking up your Personae. I've been finding Ryume very useful. For the life of me I can't get Shax to rank up past Rank Four. =_=

I'm still thinking that EP is better than IS. The enemies hit you harder, but because of the improved interface the battles take much shorter. Also, I'm much, much happier with the simplified contact system. Maybe it cuts down on some of the individuality of the characters, but most of those extra contacts in IS were useless, anyway.

I have to do the Sky Museum next. Ugh, a timed dungeon. IS had quite a few of those. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be over before I know it.

Timed dungeons are annoying. You have to deal with one in Vagrant Story, and the five minutes pass longer than you could end my favorite song. To make make this worse, the place is barely lit, you will lost half of the time unless you map the route in advance!
