Weird Habits Developing...

Maybe...but not really. As of recently I've been tuning into strange late-night programming. For the past week, I've been watching a show from my childhood that I never really got into--Star Trek: The Next Generation. So far the episodes have been hit or miss with me; I thought that the two part "Descent" (Data, Lore and the Borg!)was excellent, but the two-parter I watched most recently, in my opinion, kind of sucked. Okay, I think it really sucked. I'm talking about "Time's Arrow," the one with Data going back in time to 19th century San Francisco, featuring Mark Twain and too much Whoopi Goldberg. O_O Aside from the appeal of seeing major cast members wearing period costumes...I mean no disrespect, but please, tell me that wasn't a fan-favorite episode!

I really think that Data carries the series, though.

Last night, I stayed up late watching back-to-back episodes of Pit Boss, the Animal Planet program about the pitbull rescue run entirely by Little People. I actually thought it was pretty awesome, as well as thought-provoking, but I'm still not about to adopt a pitbull into my household. I can't believe Shorty spent 10 years in prison for attempted murder! O_O I'm not sure why the program is only run late at night. Is it because of the bleeped out language, or the fact that the red-haired receptionist girl is a lesbian? This is the 21st century, people!

I still haven't finished Persona 3 PSP. I'm kind of holding off. I learned the neat trick of earning extra EXP by fighting enemies in Tartaros alone. I'm at lvl. 90 now, and beat the Shinigami in a slow-paced battle. I'm not sure how accomplished I should feel...

On the writing front, writing has been like sh--ting a brick. Pardon my language. On the book front, I've started reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke. I've read 90 pages so far. I think it's a rich and absolutely fascinating book, but holy crap, it's 800 pages long. I'm committing myself to reading 40 pages a day, even if I have to read standing up while cooking!

Hi ^__^! I'm fine--how are you?

I didn't think I would be turning to Star Trek after all these years, but really, it's a fun show to watch on a late night. A good alternative to endless episodes of Law & Order, at least!

I wonder why they never tried a Troi and Picard romance? Even though she was supposed to be linked to Riker, Troi was involved with Worf for a while, and Picard has had many, many women. (even Michelle Philips! :O) I agree that there isn't much chemistry between Picard and Dr. Crusher. I think she's pretty, but she has kind of a sterile feeling about her. The two of them are just too darn responsible with each other. ^o^

I probably should take a break, but I'm afraid that if I do, I'm never going to finish. I'm having a hard time describing different rooms in a palace...really, I need to take a break and draw some (lousy) pictures.

Wow, 15 pages in one weekend... I really do feel for you. I hope you can put some cucumber slices on your eyes, now! Sometimes when I'm stressed, I like to give myself a foot bath with a little olive oil in the water. It's amazing how nice you can feel if you take care of your feet!

Sometimes when I get really stressed I get a huge honking zit on my nose. Like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Mouth sores are the absolute worst, though.
