One Bloom at a Time.

Our peony Coral Supreme bloomed this morning. I tried hard to get a good picture of it but the wind kept swinging the flowers around. I ended up having to hold onto the blossom to keep the picture in focus. XD Maybe it's not professional but we're supposed to have big rain tomorrow. The flowers might not even be there on Sunday.

Last fall we planted Coral Charm, which is similar to Coral Supreme but more true coral than coral-pink, in the front border. We were really looking forward to its first blooming this spring but some jackass UPS man cut through the garden to deliver a package and squashed the poor thing flat. I don't know if it's dead or not. If it is I guess we'll just have to get another. Peonies aren't cheap but nowadays I can't afford to fly into a rage every time one of our plants gets destroyed. If it's not one thing it's another. ^_^;...

I've been playing WiiFit for a week and I managed to get my WiiAge down to 26. I don't know if I'm accomplishing anything besides getting better at using WiiFit, but it's nice to see some progress! I usually alternate between step aerobics, hula hoop, boxing and yoga. I use it for about 30 minutes a day but I suppose I could go longer. In general it's not that strenuous (except for the yoga, phew!). My problem has always been with coordination. It's strange to think that a person's awkwardness can be based not on some kind of karmic misfortune but poor physical condition. I was a pretty skinny kid until I was in junior high, but I never did so much as lift a finger to exercise. It's no wonder I couldn't throw a paper airplane in a straight line. :D...

The flowers are still there but now the sun has bleached them. :O They're a transient beauty, like most everything alive.
