Clean this table!

I'm trying my best to photograph Lucas with limited results. I was wrong to judge his personality by the picture the breeder sent me; he looked so serene. XD Photographs don't do him justice, anyway. He's much more beautiful in person--except when it's sunny out and his pupils are all narrow and slitty. Then he just looks evil.

He was cute for most of the day and demanded more than his share of cuddling. Then at about 7pm he went completely nuts racing around the house, climbing up the furniture and making weird gurgling sounds. Business as usual for Lucas, of course. He's much better at jumping now--we'll have to be extra careful where we put potentially dangerous objects.

Tonight he jumped on a table we have by a window in our living room and went, "Oo!" like he'd just discovered something interesting. Lucas makes some bizarre sounds. Most of them are pretty, high-pitched and musical, but if you're keeping him from a place he wants to explore it's, "Yah! Yah! Yaaaah!"

Kristen and I noted something funny about his behavior. We've adopted the habit of praising Lucas excessively when he uses the tall sisal scratching post. He prefers the cardboard scratcher but the sisal one cost $60! The breeder recommended it... Also, because of his litter box problem, we lavish praise on him when he uses the litter box. Now, as of recently, after he does something to make us angry (like nipping our hands, jumping where he ought not to) he makes a beeline for either the litter box or the scratching post, like he knows we're going to kiss up to him if he uses one of those right. Our kitten is manipulating us! :O

I think there must be some breeders in Nova Scotia but I've been having a hard time finding info. If you can't find a local breeder some do ship cats (I mean, put one on a plane for you). ^_^;...I was lucky enough to find a breeder an hour away from me. Unfortunately she only places cats locally, but the lady who runs Villaroyal Ragdolls in Rochester, NY is a good friend of hers and she does ship kittens internationally.

He does! And I'm glad, because it makes it harder for him to squeeze himself into weird places. I can't wait until he weighs 20 lbs...
