Oww....;_;

I've been doing a bit of walking lately (for health and recreation ^_6!) and my calves hurt like crazy. It's not like I'm not used to exercising on a regular basis. I don't know what's wrong! Maybe I need better shoes?


::pops two ibuprofen::


I've been a little too involved in eBay lately. I really hate auctions, loathe having to fight people for things that I want, but there are some things that you just can't find anywhere else! Like...I bid on (and won) a copy of Xenosaga for the Japanese PS2. The domestic version is coming out in a few weeks, and I thought that I might be okay with it, but I've heard that some parts have been censored. I figure that, hey, I'm an adult, I can take whatever they dish out! Maybe they censored some of the violence for the kiddies, but you can't tell me that anyone under the age of 15 is going to want to play Xenosaga! I ended up having to pay $49 for it, which is pretty good considering that the list price is 7,800 yen, and most stores charge almost $70 for it. Phew! I am no good at saving money! I just figured that it would be harder to find that game if I waited any longer to buy it. NCS is showing no signs of restocking it, and the Rage has sold out of it as well. Himeya was charging an arm and a leg for it, last time I checked. I don't know. Video games, especially imports, have been hard to find lately. Xenosaga came out a year ago. Would I have been able to get a copy any other way?

Also, Kristen and I went crazy and bid on Rockman 2, 3 and 5 for the Japanese PSX. And we won them. Yes, we are freaks! I don't care that they're just ports of NES games, I have very fond memories of beating up those mechanical monkeys in Wood Man stage when I was like....9. Damn! At first, we were just going to try for the third game, but then we started to get all twitchy about....Bubble Man stage. -_-;;......And then I'm like "Hey, 5 was a good game, too! I liked Gyro Man's music!" So we tried for that one, too. I don't care about 1, it's much too short, and 4 is a sorry excuse for a game. Guh....I feel so.....child-like right now. I don't think we'll need any more Rockman games after this.


I'm selling a pair of mini SD pajamas on eBay. I'm using my account, for the first time in a while. I had wanted to sell full-size SD pjs instead, but I don't have enough fabric for that right now. I will when I do!

Did you stretch before walking?
Make sure to stretch your legs really good if you do some walking. Plus, if you haven't done any exercising in a while...it's gonna take some time for your muscles to get used to the activity. Just stretch your calf muscles really good before you go walking. ~_^

Ha ha ha..thanks for the advice! I had better learn to appreciate how important stretching is! It's hard sometimes, because in the winter especially I get stir-crazy and the only thing that relaxes me is walking (I hate weight-lifting but I do it anyway -_-;;) I feel like I've been walking whenever I get a chance, and I do forget to stretch a lot of the time! As if I haven't pulled enough muscles that way!

Pleeaaaaaaaaseeeee stretch before exercising! I learned in massage therapy (sports massage) that if you dun stretch enough, you can get a tear in your muscle and trust me, that is more painful than the pain you are feeling now!

Especially with it being cold and you are in a colder climate, you need to stretch before walking outside. When you're cold, your muscles tighten.

I know what you mean about getting stir-crazy! When we got that deep freeze down here in the South, I wanted to either sleep all the time or go somewhere,...anywhere!

*^____^* Thanks for your concern! My legs don't hurt any more, but I'll make sure to stretch for now on. Usually, if I have problems it's with my knees, not my calves! It's weird....when I was younger I was in horrible shape (no muscle tone!) and even though I've been working out regularly for almost 6 years I still feel like it's this big innovation!
