She's such a pretty, healthy rose, and a marvel in dry weather. Her unique fragrance reminds me of lemon meringue pie! I can imagine that if she weren't tied to a trellis, her flowers would all be splat on the ground. But really, what a nice-looking rose! Of the 3-gallon Austins I got from Northland Rosarium, only she and Carding Mill have never shown signs of foliar disease. The other two were just PM, but still...

We actually ended up planting Reine des Violettes after all. Over the past few weeks she's grown pretty big, a far cry from the barely rooted sprout that came in the mail in April!
